Concrete cover plate
Each chimney regardless of the way of its finishing (plastered, tiled, covered with Struktonit (fibre-cement tiles), or faced with clinker bricks) must necessarily be covered with a plate from the top.
Our ready-made concrete cover plates are characterized by the following features:
1. They protect the chimney against atmospheric precipitation.
It is extremely important as thanks to this water does not flow into the space between the hollow block and the ceramic insert causing a very unpleasant in consequences stains on the chimney. In addition, the insulation wool exposed to rainwater loses its insulating properties. The cover also protects the chimney from the possibility of water penetration between the block and the tile or clinker brick causing chipping or stains.
2. Easy to install – installed on the block using cement-lime mortar.
3. It eliminates the need to concrete the cover plate on the chimney. The practice of concreting a plate on the chimney often leads to filling the ventilating channels inside the flue block, thus leading to connecting the ceramic inserts to the chimney housing. Such situations lead to damages to the ceramic pipes.
4. Perfectly matched – in terms of the hole diameter.
The hole in the plate fits perfectly to the diameter of the sealing flange, which in combination with sealing putty supplied by us in the installation kit, creates excellent protection against even the driving rain.
5. Available in our warehouse in variants of "S" and "SW" in grey.
